English Day

English Day 2018 - Ireland

Despite the rain English Day was a roaring success!

This year's theme was "Ireland" so we all came to school dressed in green!

We had a busy fun-filled day doing various different activities such as a food workshop where we made scones, crafts and games where we learnt more about Ireland and its culture.

In the afternoon we were entertained with a concert by Barcelona-based Irish folk group, The Stompers. They had us up dancing, singing and clapping our hands - we all had so much fun!

Thanks to everyone involved in making the day so great!!!

English Day preparation

This week our 4th Year Secondary students finished writing the lyrics for this year's English Day song. A small selection of students - Marta Palma, Aida Amat, Laia Fité and Sandra Vega recorded the vocals so that our Primary school students can learn the song and sing it on English Day (Friday 13th April).

Girls, thanks very much for volunteering to sing! And thanks to Ruben, our Music teacher at Primary level, for all his technical expertise!

Keep checking the website for the song which will be uploaded as soon it's edited!

Another successful English Day!!

Today all our Nursery, Infant and Primary school students had a wonderful time celebrating English Day!

This year's theme was "Around the World in 80 Days" which was a fun starting point for all of our different activities. Students took part in a gymkana organised by our 3rd Year Secondary students, in a quiz organised by our 4th Years, in a craft activity on Willy Fog and in a food workshop where we made a wrap which we then took home as a snack! Our youngest children from the Nursery and Infants also enjoyed a play in English!
